John D. (Jay) Beinhardt
John D. (Jay) Beinhardt is a Registered United States Patent Agent, and has been with the Firm since its inception in 2001. Jay was registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in 2004, and is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association. Jay received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University in 1993 and has a wealth of experience in both industry and patent law. Jay has prepared and successfully prosecuted hundreds of patent applications in a wide array of mechanical and electrical arts.
Prior his work at the firm, Jay was a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at TRW, Nelson Stud Welding Division, in Elyria, Ohio. Jay also held prior positions as an Applications Engineer at Nordson Corporation, in Amherst, Ohio, as well as Engineering Staff at Honda of America Mfg., in Marysville, Ohio. Also, during his tenure at The Ohio State University, Jay held an Undergraduate Research Assistant position at the Diamond Thin Films Laboratory in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
